Federal Skilled Trades Program

The Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) was introduced in 2013 by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to pave the way for experienced trades workers to immigrate to Canada.
The Express Entry system of the Canadian Government has three federal economic programs and the Federal Skilled Trades Program Canada is one of them.
Through Express Entry, the Canadian government invites skilled trades workers into the country to help contribute to the economy with their trades experience.
Canada’s Immigration Levels Plan intends to bring in more than 400,000 immigrants each year. Out of these immigrants, nearly 110,000 spots are reserved for Express Entry.
If you are a professional who specialises in a certain trade, then the Federal Skilled Trades Class is an avenue that is wide open for you to explore. With the help of the Best Immigration Consultant Surrey, you can also try applying through other programs such as Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), and step closer to your dream of migrating to Canada.
Advantages of Federal Skilled Trades Program Canada
Canada is a country that has a low rate of birth, and its population is an aging one, so there is a labour shortage that needs to be mitigated in order to contribute to its economy positively. The Federal Skilled Trade Class is an initiative introduced by provincial and federal governments to take skilled workers to Canada.
Immigrating to Canada through the FSTP has a variety of advantages. Successful FSTP candidates can usually get permanent residency within six months under Express Entry.
The Federal Skilled Trades Program Canada does not require its candidates to prove their educational level, and for this reason, these candidates might score lower CSR grades as opposed to the other Express Entry candidates. Entering the Express Entry pool boosts your chances of getting permanent residency in Canada.
You can acquire a provincial nomination through this, and it almost guarantees your Express Entry success. A province nomination adds 600 CRS points to your application, increasing your chances of receiving an invitation for permanent residence through Express Entry.
Federal Skilled Trade Class Applicant with Canadian Job Experience
If you are a Federal Skilled Trade Class applicant with Canadian job experience, you are much more likely to succeed in the Canadian labour market. Candidates who have worked and received education in Canada receive higher Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points from IRCC.
According to government and academic research, having Canadian experience is a significant benefit when applying for permanent residency in Canada. When you apply for permanent residence under the Federal Skilled Trades Program Canada, the experience and knowledge you gained while working in Canada will give you an advantage in the labour market, and make it more likely for you to get approved for permanent residence.
The Process Of immigration with Federal Skilled Trades Program
There is a specific procedure to be followed when it comes to immigrating with FDTP, and our immigration consultants in Surrey, BC will take you through this process and help you understand the intricacies of the dealings.
IRCC manages skilled worker applications for three economic class skilled worker immigration programs, including the FSTP, using Express Entry.
To begin, make sure you meet the qualifying requirements of the Federal Skilled Trade Class and the requirements of the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) or the Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
If you match the requirements, you can create an Express Entry profile on the IRCC website and receive a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS score) based on factors such as your age, education, language abilities, work experience, and Canadian work and study experience.

How Can We Help you
IRCC organizes Express Entry lotteries every two weeks, asking the individuals with the highest CRS scores to apply for permanent residency. The Immigration and Refugee Commission (IRCC) will provide you with a deadline for submitting your permanent residence application. Your application will be processed within six months by IRCC.
